international meeting “STOP malnutrition of patients and diseases resulting from malnutrition” held in Prague on June by the Czech EU presidency related to fight malnutrition across Europe
gathered health ministries from EU member states, medical experts, ESPEN, ENHA
declaration which summarizes the problems that we are facing in our daily practice and to propose a series of action points which are being sent to the incoming Swedish EU presidency to be implemented.

Czech Ministry of Health endorsed to promote strategies to fight against malnutrition in community, hospitals and nursing homes
public awareness, education (patients, pre- and postgraduate professionals), mandatory screening (community+hospitals), to improve quality of care, cooperation (international-ESPEN,ENHA, national medical societies), research on malnutrition, to improve monitoring and data sampling on nutritional status)
WEB pages under patronage of Czech Ministry of Health: at first for public (malnutrition is highly prevalent, malnutrition important for onset of disease and modifying its course; to pay closer attention to their own nutrition as well as that of their relatives)
