Tax is money that the government collects based on income, sales, and other activities. Tax is in proportion to the amount of money involved.
Example: Aleksey’s shirt cost $14.50, but when he went to pay the register showed $ He had to pay $.87 in sales tax.

A tip (also known as gratuity) is a custom in which an extra amount of money is paid for a service in addition to the total cost.
Example: Marilyn’s massage cost $70, but she gave a 15% tip to the masseuse for doing such a wonderful job, making the total bill $80.50.

Finding tip is very similar to calculating tax. Calculate the percentage of tip you would like to give and then add that onto the total price of the service.
