England, compared to the rest of Europe, who experienced it in the 15th C (1400s) entered the Renaissance rather late because of internal turmoil and instability The War of the Roses War between aristocrats ( ) House of Lancaster (red) & York (white) battling for the throne Printing of books only introduced into England when Henry Tudor, Earl of Richmond defeated the Yorkist King Richard III at Bosworth Field in 1485 and was crowned King Henry VII ( ) TUDOR DYNASTY = STABILITY
