9 Desert Dry land with few plants.

10 Oasis Area of water and fertile land with desert on all sides.

11 Bay A body of water that is part of a sea or ocean and is partly enclosed by land.

12 Gulf A body of water that is partly enclosed by land but is larger than a bay.

13 Harbor A man made body of water having docks or port facilities.

14 Canal An artificial/ man made waterway for navigation and irrigation.

15 Tundra One of the vast, nearly level, treeless plains of the arctic regions of Europe, Asia, and North America.

16 Glacier A large ice mass that moves slowly down a mountain or across land.

17 Plateau An area of high, flat land with steep sides.

18 Volcano An opening in the Earth, often raised, through which lava, rock, ashes, and gases are forced out.

19 Delta A triangle-shaped area of land at the mouth of a river.

20 Peninsula Land that is almost completely surrounded by water.

21 Cape A point of land that extends into water.

22 River A large steam of water that flows across the land.

23 Atoll A ring-shaped coral reef or a string of closely spaced small coral islands, enclosing or nearly enclosing a shallow lagoon.

24 Lagoon A body of shallow water.

25 Branch Water from a river that branches of into another steam.
