2 WARM UP Go on your phones and research the kinds of political ads and commercials were used during the most recent presidential election. Write down your thoughts about the kinds of things you see.

3 Why are there campaigns?
To get us to vote To win office Candidates spend A lot of money running campaigns. Why? Flights, reservations, speeches, meetings, rallies, etc, tv ads, posters, etc.

4 IT’S ALL ABOUT IMAGE VOTERS WILL PLACE A LOT OF CONFIDENCE IN ADS
THIS MEANS THAT THEY BELIEVE THE IMAGES THEY SEE WHAT KINDS OF IMAGES ARE ON ELECTION ADS? Positive? negative?
