2. Read the following sentence and guess the meaning of the word auspicious based on the context.
Although she declined his request to dance, her auspicious smile encouraged him to ask again later.
If something is auspicious, it is showing or suggesting that future success is likely.

3. To Kill a Mockingbird: Research Presentations!
You guys have 30 minutes to make sure your projects are in tip top shape! 
Remember, a good presenter reads from his/her slides as little as possible – save some information to tell your audience yourself.
Once 30 minutes are up, give me your grading rubric and I’ll shuffle the order 

4. 1930’S Presentations!
As your classmates present, make sure you pay attention – the background knowledge will be useful when we begin reading To Kill a Mockingbird this week! 
After each presentation, use the note-taking sheet to write down two of the three quiz questions they give and their answers below.
