2. EMR systems
There is a survey special issue on EMR systems in this month’s issue of “Health Affairs”, vol 25, #5 (online!) at
(thanks to Aman Bhandari)
Includes prospects and obstacles for EMR, role of govt. vs. industry etc.

3. For Next Time Topic: Medical sensing and networking.
Goal is to give you some hardware information (if needed) for your course project.
Readings on personal monitoring devices, and sensors for particular diseases (from UM course). There should also be a reading on networking/wireless for sensors.

4. For Next Time JFC will be presenter.
Please contribute readings and/or bring hardware suggestions to class for discussion.

5. Project work
The classes after next week will be devoted to project work.
Please start thinking about what project you would like to commit to for the semester.
Next week you will receive a project proposal assignment.
