9 Option #1 – LTGO bonds 9-year levy lid lift for debt service
City of Chelan LTGO Bond Financing Estimates Bond Issue Interest Rate Maturity (Years) Annual Debt Service Assessed Value* Mill Increase (per $1,000 AV) Annual Cost/ $250K Home** $1,000,000 4% 9 $134,493 $1,003,395,680 $0.1340 $34 $1,500,000 $201,739 $0.2011 $50 $2,000,000 $268,986 $0.2681 $67 $2,500,000 $336,232 $0.3351 $84 $3,000,000 $403,479 $0.4021 $101 *Chelan County Property Tax Summary Report 2018 **Average sale price = $294,370; median sale price = $210,000; March 2018 Chelan County Assessor Monthly Sales Reports. $250,000 is the example used in the City of Chelan’s budget. 9-year levy lid lift for debt service Majority voter approval required For example, a levy lid lift of $ per $1,000 assessed value could pay the debt service on approximately $1 million in LTGO bonds, which would cost the typical household about $34 per year over the 9-year levy
