2 Adding false Motion to an image.

3 Open an image in Photoshop.
It’s best to choose an image where the subject is moving, but a fast shutter speed has been used.

4 You will need the Layers window opened.

5 This will create and interactive mask
Layer Smart Objects Convert to Smart Objects. This will create and interactive mask

6 Filter Blur Motion Blur.

7 Both the amount and angle of the movement can be manipulated.

8 The entire image becomes blurred.

9 Click on the Smart Filter Mask to select it.
A Line will appear around it.

10 Ctrl Backspace The motion blur effect is hidden and the mask is filled with black.

11 Use the brush tool to select where the filter is to be applied.

12 Anywhere the brush is used, the blur can be seen on the image as well as the filter.

13 Save your Final image as a .jpg

14 Folder: Lastname.1A.Movement Example1.jpg (find in hand out folder)
