1. Check the backpack and harness straps.
2. Check the air pressure. Turn on the air-cylinder valve and check the gauge pressure.

3. Check the condition of all hoses while pressurized.
4. Activate the integrated PASS device, if present.

5. Check the face piece.
6. Connect the regulator to the face piece and take test breaths.

7. Close the cylinder valve and open the purge valve to bleed the pressure.
8. Check the function and activation pressure of the low-air alarm. Close the bypass valve.
