RADIOSS : NEON multi-impact for HPC benchmarks
Model This simple model is created in order to check the HPC performances for a large number of shell elements. The model contains 1.25 million elements.

RADIOSS : NEON multi-impact for HPC benchmarks
Load case In order to increase the model size, the same car is loading 5 times as sub-model (//SUBMODEL) and positioned in the car with transformation applied on the sub-model (/TRANSFORM). Ground modeled with shell element and clamped rigid body is defined under the cars.

RADIOSS : NEON multi-impact for HPC benchmarks
Load case The same car is sued for each sub-model where identifiers offset is defined. # | | | | | | | | | | //SUBMODEL/1 # sub-model title Car 1 # Off_dft Off_nod Off_elt Off_part Off_mat Off_prop #include NEON_A00_1M_0000.inc //ENDSUB //SUBMODEL/2 Car 2 //SUBMODEL/3 Car 3 …

RADIOSS : NEON multi-impact for HPC benchmarks
Load case Here is an example of the car 2 positioning with transformation cards applied on sub-model. All entities defined in the sub-model are transformed (even options defined in the global coordinate system like initial velocity,…) # | | | | | | | | | | /TRANSFORM/ROT/20 Car 2 positioning # grnod_ID X_point_ Y_point_ Z_point_1 node_ID1 node_ID2 Sub_Id # X_point_ Y_point_ Z_point_ Angle /TRANSFORM/TRA/21 # grnod_ID X_translation Y_translation Z_translation node_ID1 node_ID2 Sub_Id

RADIOSS : NEON multi-impact for HPC benchmarks
Load case Contact interfaces (TYPE7) are defined between each car and the neighboring ones. The master surface and slave node group are defined using submodel. Contact interface (TYPE7) is also defined between the ground and the cars using box. # | | | | | | | | | | /INTER/TYPE7/1 Car 1 vs others # Slav_id Mast_id Istf Ithe Igap Ibag Idel Icurv Iadm # GAP_SCALE GAP_MAX Fpenmax # Stmin Stmax %mesh_size dtmin Irem_gap # STFAC FRIC GAP_MIN Tstart Tstop # I_BC INACTI VIS_S VIS_F BUMULT # Ifric Ifiltr Xfreq Iform sens_ID /GRNOD/SURF/10 Car 1 11 /SURF/SUBMODEL/EXT/11 1 /SURF/SUBMODEL/EXT/12 Car 2,3,4,5

Load case Contact interface (TYPE7) is also defined between the ground and the cars using box. Here rectangular box is used but cylindrical or spherical box are also available. # | | | | | | | | | | /INTER/TYPE7/6 Cars vs ground # Slav_id Mast_id Istf Ithe Igap Ibag Idel Icurv Iadm # GAP_SCALE GAP_MAX Fpenmax # Stmin Stmax %mesh_size dtmin Irem_gap # STFAC FRIC GAP_MIN Tstart Tstop # I_BC INACTI VIS_S VIS_F BUMULT # Ifric Ifiltr Xfreq Iform sens_ID /GRNOD/BOX/60 Cars 1 /BOX/RECTA/1 Ground /SURF/PART/62 1000

CPU time. The following table gives CPU time for different cluster and number of CPU. These value are given on an optimized model (reduced contact interface definition) The value printed for the HP® and Cray® computers are given just for information and are not contractual.
