UBT Performance Report
November 2011
2
UBT Performance: Programwide
We far surpassed our target of doubling the number of high-performing teams in 2011. The 2010 National Agreement committed Kaiser Permanente and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions to double the number of high-performing unit-based teams between December 2010 and December 2011. That commitment recognized the role of UBTs as Kaiser Permanente’s strategy to align the goals of frontline teams with the larger goals of the organization, and to achieve superior results for our members and patients. As of November 1, 2011, there were 868 high-performing teams (Level 4 or 5) across KP—far surpassing the December 2011 target of 658 such teams. That’s 25% of all UBTs. Another 25% were operational (Level 3), and the remainder were in early stages of development. The following slides show team performance and goals by region.
