1 Clubs and divisions in CFI
Center For Innovation is a unique creative workspace in VIIt where students walk in with an idea and walk out with a solution or a product. A place where innovative mind is put to work. This workspace undertakes M.Tech projects, CFI proposed projects, B.Tech students proposed projects, student entrepreneurs, future master/Ph.D students, alumni students etc. It was started in 29th june 2017, and led by Dr. P.V. Unnikrishnan ,and coordinated by G.Santhan Kumar, M.N.V Chaitanya, K.H.V .Rajesh. Clubs and divisions in CFI 3D Printing Club Robotics Club Aero Club Green Tech Club

2 AERO CLUB ACTIVITIES: 1). 1st workshop conducted on 30th June & 2nd July,2017 In Association with HOBBYPEP and 128 students were participated.

3 2). 2nd workshop conducted during 22/11/2017 - 26/11/2017 and 27th & 28th Nov,2017 evaluation test
from 29th November to 12th December 2017 intensive training was given to selected students by Mr. Vinod, a trainer from HOBBYPEP. Trained 8 students were divided into 2 groups and send to IIT Bombay and IIT Madras for competing. 3). VIIT also participated in IIT-Boeing National aero modelling competition on 5th and 6th January 2018

4 4). 3rd workshop was conducted with students from Chennai Institute of Technology(CIT) during June 2018

5 5). 4th workshop was conducted during August 2018 on Drone making. From the participating 60 members 8 students were selected and divided into 2 groups for further intensive training on drone technology.

6 3D PRINTING CLUB 3D printing is -ary of various processes in which material is joined or solidified under computer control to create a three-dimensional object,[1] with material being added together (such as liquid molecules or powder grains being fused together). 3D printing is used in both rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing. Equipments present in the club: 1.Boxzy 3D printer 2. X1 Calve machine

7 Work done: prototype making for live projects, rapid prototyping

8 ROBOTICS CLUB Robotics is an interdisciplinary branch of engineering and science that includes mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, computer science, and others. Robotics deals with the design, construction, operation, and use of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. Robotics is also used in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) as a teaching aid.

9 GREEN TECH CLUB The green tech club is fun learning place for students to learn and experiment on environmental engineering, science and technology. The student groups identify environmetal sustainability issues that they notice in their every day life and develop field workable solutions to the problems. this is highly interdisciplinary club for students from all departments.\ MAJOR FOCUS AREAS waste disposable and recycling(wet/dry) campaigning on waste reduction at source. energy conservation . water conservation and harvesting noise pollution and effects. road traffic control, improving fuel efficiency and air pollution reduction.

10 Activities done: 1).Organised Zero Waste Environment Colleges summit which was initiated and supported by Green Waves Environmental Solutions on 3rd August The waste management club run by St. Joseph's college for women and GITAM university participated in the summit. 2). 12th August- 1st GreenTech meeting- St. Joseph's college for women and VIIT events: fashion with waste, up-cycled products.

11 3). 15th August- entire college cleanup
4). 28th August- 2nd cleanup 5). 12th September- survey on need of dustbins in campus 6). one paper publication.

12 PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN BY CFI:
1). Air Ventilated Bed -Cool bed(Yet to be Registered for patent) 2).Safe and Cool Helmet- Air cooled helmet (Yet to be Registered for patent) 3).Air Cooler at low cost. 4).Compost machine.

13 PAPER PUBLICATIONS: In 2nd National Conference on Progresses in Bioengineering and Management(NCPBM)-2018 conducted in Techno India University (West Bengal) ,two papers were presented and published: 1).Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for Tracking of Marine Animals and Environment Survey- Presented by G. Santhan Kumar and won first prize. 2).Comparision of natural and synthetic ways of carbon capture-Merits and Demerits-co-presented by Mr.Anil and Mr.G.Santhan Kumar representing Green Waves and VIIT respectively-won third prize. At International conference on Robotics and Smart Manufacturing(RoSMa-2018) a paper presentation on Autonomous Underwater Vehicle for Vision Based Tracking was given
