1 Food & Beverage Manager This is a hands on operation role ensuring that all Food & Beverage operations at Dartington run effectively by focussing on key areas: sales, cost management and excellent service through empowered and skilled staff. SOME OF THE MAIN THINGS YOU’LL BE DOING: Work closely with colleagues at all levels to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the White Hart Bar and Restaurant, the Roundhouse and all conferences and events. Spend adequate time on the floor in the all Food and Beverage areas to ensure the operation is managed and performing according to the required standard. Supervise and be present at most major events and functions. Ensure all team members meet the requirement of personal presentation, customer care skills, positive attitude and commitment to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. Personally and frequently verify that customers are receiving the best possible service available. Manage departmental budgets with care. Rota accordingly to business levels and requirements ensuring budgets and costs are in line with revenue. Develop effective communication methods with the team and colleagues. Ensure all staff members are aware of and working towards our aims. Contribute to the annual business planning process, develop and lead the F&B Strategy, develop and manage innovative and exciting guest experiences and a rolling programme of events and promotions.   Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain a high standard of food & hygiene.
