Create a free form rectangular shape covering most of the paper surface
apply and swipe tone into the paper
look at and draw lightly the contours of the complete form first
determine the lightest and darkest areas of the form
begin by erasing the lightest lights
next, using the side of the stick, apply more conte in the darkest areas
once the lights and darks are in, begin drawing detail
allow beautiful, varied line to remain in some areas
when managing detail, jump back and forth from each area of the form (this enables you to continue to compare relationships)
