Greece to Rome

2. Day 1
What have you heard about Greece? Maybe from movies or other classes? What about Roman? How are these cultures portrayed in stories, movies or in books?

3. Day 2
The Greeks were obsessed with order and balance. This showed in their architecture. Can something so neat and orderly be beautiful? Is there something to be said about chaos and spontaneity? If you could build your own structure that people would remember and see a thousand years from now, which style would you choose? Draw it.

4. Day 3
When it came to the human body, at times the Greeks pursued realistic features. Then moved on to perfection. Can the human body be both realistic and perfect? Does it have to be balanced? What would the perfect, balanced body look like to you?

5. Day 4
The Romans pursued realistic sculptures, even the ugly parts that we don’t normally want others to see. Can the everyday, ordinary be beautiful? Is there courage in showing it all, the good and the bad? If someone drew a portrait of you or chiseled you out of stone, is there something you would want them to change? What if there was someone you could affect with your bravery?
