Reporting

2 Once you have people answering your survey, you can also access the reports section.
This shares many of the symbols/tools with events.

3 This allows you to filer the results – for example by respondents who work on a specific site or live within a certain post code. Filtering depends on how you set the questions up so it’s important to think of this when developing your survey questions This allows you to compare one report with another – but the questions must be the same This gives you a complete list of those that have responded– more later Allows you to create test answers Combines the reporting data form two surveys together Combines the data from multiple surveys together This allows you to see the answers given during a specific time period

4 The layout manager allows you to amend the way the report is presented – more later
This allows you to add elements to the report – such as an index – more later Helpsyou thematically analyse qualitative data – more later You can export your report to a number of format and also share it – more later

5 Filter Filter allows you to refine your survey results to just look at a single or multiple elements. For example if you have asked respondents which Sector they work in and then which hospital, the filter function will allow you to see only those who have answered Acute Sector and GRI You can add in multiple filters to refine your survey results. This function is one of the reasons why it is important to consider your report when designing your survey. For example if you ask respondents to put in a Post Code in the contact form it will then be difficult to filter by this as it’s an element within a question. If however, you have a single selection question of Which post code are you and respondents have to select from a predetermined list, then a filter can be used in your report.

6 Compare This function allows you to set up groups and then compare one group/answer with another

7 Respondents allows you to see who has filled in your survey and their
details/answers. You can see one answer or by using the selection boxes, multiple answers The respondents are presented by first name A-Z by default, but this can be changed.

8 Test answers- this allows you to create test answers using the data that you already have. This is mostly used to show what the report would look like if the survey responses were all filled in . It is very unlikely that you will have to use this setting.

9 This allows you to combine the data from two reports – as long as the questions are the same. So for example you can combine the reports of the same survey that has been run at different times of the year. . However to do this you must save the report each report first Click “Save as” and give each report that you want to combine a different name Once you have saved the report change from the saved report to “Basic report”

10 This allows you to combine multiple reports in the same way as the previous combine reports function (which will only combine 2 reports together) . This function also allows you to create automatically filtered reports – so you can filter in all the chosen reports for only those respondents who are Acute Sector and work in GRI.

11 This function allows you to select answers given at a certain time – so you can compare the answers given in the first week your survey was released to those given in the last week.

12 Layout allows you to amend the way that your report is set out
Layout allows you to amend the way that your report is set out. This includes changing the type of charts and the way they are presented. This setting is often used in conjunction with “Add elements”.

13 Add elements if often used in conjunction with Layout
Add elements if often used in conjunction with Layout. It allows you to create an index and order things – such as presenting chats side by side. Using these tools along with the Add free text and contents menu means that you can write most of your finished report from within Webropol.

14 The Analytics tool is more commonly used with surveys
The Analytics tool is more commonly used with surveys. But it allows you thematically analyse the answers to any open questions that you’ve used. It automatically produces a word cloud which shows you the most used words, which can then be used to theme the answers.

15 Finally – Export and share allows you to export your report or share it. If you export it (for example to Excel) you will be given presentation options.
