1 Force-Velocity Characteristics of the Knee Extensors: An Indication of the Risk for Physical Frailty in Elderly Women  Evelien Van Roie, MS, Sabine M. 2 Fig 1 ROC curves created for the identification of participants with functional limitations based on ISOM strength and SoM values of the knee extensors. Both curves are graphical representation of the trade-off between the true-positive (sensitivity) and false-positive rates (1−specificity) for every possible cutoff value. The AUC indicates the overall discriminative value for both muscle parameters. Arrows represent threshold values yielding the best compromise between sensitivity and specificity. Abbreviation: AUC, area under the curve. Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation  , DOI: ( /j.apmr ) Copyright © 2011 American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine Terms and Conditions
