Sophisticated simulations of beam transport from the damping ring to dump exist: LIAR/DIMAD (SLAC), MERLIN (DESY) & PLACET (CERN) Bunch generally represented as macroparticles R-matrix transport; includes wakefields, B fields up to qudrupole or sextupole, misalignments, BPM resolutions…
