4. Seventh Annual Global Citizenship Conference The Faces of Genocide
Thursday, 12 April 2018: Holocaust Remembrance Day
8:30 AM to 3:45 PM
West Valley College Campus Center

5. A Place of Remembrance The Conference will consist of:
A Stanford historian of genocide.
A panel of genocide survivors.
Exhibits about specific genocides in history.
The reading of names of the victims.
A student led art show, poetry reading, and choral performance.
A reflection room where attendees can read biographies of victims and view testimonies of survivors.
A Social Justice Fair.

6. WVC Study Abroad Program

7. Goal of the Salzburg Program
To instill the desire, ability, and sense of empowerment on the part of the global citizen to affect positive change on their college campus, as well as their local and global communities.

The conference takes place at the Schloss Leopoldskron Hotel in the beautiful city of Salzburg, Austria.

An intensive seven day international experience to develop a better understanding of the processes and effects of globalization.
Participants will understand the importance of being a global citizen, its core values, and how to integrate those values into one’s life and actions.
