4. GLR Initiatives IMechE Themes ‘Agenda for Climate Change’
- Joint initiative with ICE in 2008
- Joint Policy Booklet for London Assembly and Mayor prior to London Local Elections
- Follow up Debates at HQ throughout each year on Energy; Environment, Transport, Sustainability, and Skills with notable expert speakers including policy makers in Mayor’s Office
Education
- Expanded No of Engineering Your Future events from 2 to 6 (joint with ICE and IET)
- Introduced ‘Our world in 2050’ to London School
- Initiated ‘Science , Engineering and Technology (SET) for sport event for London schools
- Initiated the ‘Great Balloon Debate’ with other engineering Institutions for sixth form pupils 4

Greater involvement of YMs in senior panel activities
Expand ‘Agenda for Climate Change’ and prepare for 2012 local elections
