Even though light is a wave, we often draw light as a straight arrows that point in the direction the light is going. These arrows are called “Rays”

Reflection of Light Copy the following diagram into your notes. Normal

The Law of Reflection When light bounces off of something, the angle of incidence is always equal to the angle of reflection. Normal Incident Ray Reflected Ray Өi Өr Note: Each angle is measured from the Normal, and not from the surface.

Practice Which eyes would see the object in the mirror?

Practice Copy the image into your notebook and locate the image in the mirror. You only need to consider the rays of two points on the object to construct the image.
