7 US House of Representatives
The U.S. House of Representatives has seats: 235 Republicans, Democrats, and 7 vacancies. All 435 seats are up on Tuesday. Democrats need a net gain of 23 Republican seats to take control of the House.

8 US Senate The U.S. Senate has seats: 51 Republicans and 49 Democrats (including two independents). There are 35 seats up on Tuesday - of which 26 are held by Democrats. Democrats need a net gain of two Republican seats to take control of the Senate.
