In 3-4 solid paragraphs (6-8 sentences each), answer the following questions:
Should the Native American mascot be changed? Why/why not? Implement 3 quotations OR paraphrases in your response. Make sure you use parenthetical documentation! Avoid using linking verbs!  
2. How can stereotyping be combated in our culture today?

3. Agenda Take notes on “Native American Literature: Creation Myths”.
Read “ Historical Background: In Harmony with Nature” pp in textbook & take notes.
Read the Iroquois myth, “The World on the Turtle’s Back” pp , and fill in the four functions of a myth chart!
Be prepared for pop quizzes at any point!
