16 INVERTED SENTENCES When the subject follows the verb, the sentence is called an inverted sentence. The subject and verb must agree in inverted sentences. Many questions are inverted sentences. EXAMPLES: There goes the bus. There go the busses. Does he want an apple? Do you want an apple?

The game starts with 3rd grade sentences and progresses to 5th grade sentences.
