9 Voting Conflicts No public official shall vote in an official capacity upon any measure that would inure to the official’s special private gain or loss, or that the official knows would inure to the special private gain or loss of any principal by whom he or she is retained, of the parent organization or subsidiary of a corporate principal by which he or she is retained, of a relative, or of a business associate. 4/24/2018 Harris Chain of Lakes Restoration Council

10 Voting Conflicts No public official shall vote in an official capacity upon any measure that would inure to the official’s special private gain or loss, or that the official knows would inure to the special private gain or loss of any principal by whom he or she is retained, of the parent organization or subsidiary of a corporate principal by which he or she is retained, of a relative, or of a business associate. 4/24/2018 Harris Chain of Lakes Restoration Council

18 Violations of Ethics Laws can result in various penalties such as:
