Logging In From NCOPE’s Home Page Click on Resident’s Tracking or Go To Choose Appropriate Login Type

4 Logging In Cont. Always Choose Sub-Admin Login
When Prompted Enter Log in and Password You Should Have Received an from Robin Seabrook via Typhon with Login and Password if Resident is Registered. What will the audience be able to do after this training is complete? Briefly describe each objective how the audience will benefit from this presentation.

5 Use Main Menu to Navigate
To view & approve case logs click here to evaluate your resident Viewing your student reports The main menu has a variety of student related reports.  Reports are categorized by type.  Click on a report to run.  Further instructions may be contained within each report.  You can also choose "Create Custom Report/Query" to run your own custom queries on all data that has been entered into the system.  Set your criteria and choose the fields and sort order to show in the results.  You can then print or export your results to Excel.  For more detailed information on running reports, watch the video tutorials. "Live Data Statistics" will give you a tally of how many cases each student has entered, the date range of those cases, and how many cases are missing required information. 6 Approve Case Logs Entered by Resident
1. Select a Resident from Dropdown 2. Enter Date Range, Click “Search” 3. Click on Case in Case ID # Column (approval status is to far right) Indicates Resident Added Notes (point with cursor to see notes)

Click “Edit Case Status/Comments” to update status to Approve or Disapprove After Adding Comments/Changing Status, Click “Save Data”

8 Choose An Evaluation to Complete
Evaluating A Resident After clicking on “EASI” In Main Menu, You Are Directed Here Choose An Evaluation to Complete Only Displays Evaluations You Can Complete Quarterly Evaluations can be filled out 3 times (1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters)

9 Evaluating a Resident Select Resident Name From Dropdown List Then Click “Continue” Use a section header for each of the topics, so there is a clear transition to the audience.

10 Electronic Signature Complete Evaluation & Sign Electronically by Entering Your Assigned Typhon Password. Click “Submit Evaluation” Add slides to each topic section as necessary, including slides with tables, graphs, and images. See next section for sample table, graph, image, and video layouts. Resident is Not required to Sign Evaluation Resident Can View the Completed Evaluation & Make Comments

11 When Are Evaluations Due?
From the Main Menu Click “View Edit Student Schedule” Then Click on “Student Schedule (Individuals) Last, Find Resident Name in Drop Down and Click “Generate Report” Keep it brief. Make your text as brief as possible to maintain a larger font size.

Log Out & Close Browser When Done Using Typhon FAQ’s Q: Do I have the resident print completed evaluations and submit to NCOPE? A: No. NCOPE can view all evaluations completed in Typhon and will look for the evaluations to be completed quarterly based on Resident start date. Stay On Schedule with Evaluations Q: Do I have to pay a system access fee? No. Only residents are required to pay access fee of $75.00. Q: When Typhon is referring to a student, is that the same as a resident? A: Yes. You will also see “Clinical Site” which is the same as Residency Site.” Most Pages in Typhon have very clear Instructions Q: Am I required to use Typhon in my program? A: Yes. All residency sites are required to use if residents start date is on or after June 1, 2010. Microsoft Confidential
