said to be the decimal-place of that decimal.
E.g- 3.5
1- decimal place.

2- decimal place.

3- decimal place. 24
0- decimal place.

3. Multiplication of a decimal by a
whole number x 3 .
decimal-place = 2 x 3
decimal-place = + . 2
decimal-place = 2

4. Multiplication of a decimal
by 10, 100, 1000, etc.

x 10 = = 2 2

6. We saw that,

Observation:
After multiplication, the decimal moves
as many as number of places as the
number of ‘0’s.

No. of ‘0’ = 1
No. of ‘0’ = 2
