This also gives access to the latest Microsoft applications so that pupils can complete their school work on their home computer or tablet.

Ian Ramsey CE Academy Dayspring Trust “Providing excellent education within a strong Christian community” SEN Pupils Pupils who have additional learning needs may be invited to access additional intervention. Literacy intervention groups take place on a morning during tutor time and on a Tuesday in the LRC. Some pupils may have Access Arrangements in future exams. Extra time Reader/reader pens Use of a laptop Pupils should be encouraged to make full use of any additional support offered to them. Please see Mrs Loughlin if you wish to discuss this.

16 Pastoral support At Ian Ramsey we want to promote an atmosphere of trust and safety, within a calm and purposeful learning environment. Together we want our pupils to have the highest standards of behaviour so they can grow and learn to become resilient, respectful young people who are proud to attend our school.

24 These items are NOT part of our uniform policy and are not to be worn.
Non-uniform items These items are NOT part of our uniform policy and are not to be worn. Pupils may wear one small pair of studs in the earlobes and a wristwatch. Highlight the importance of a formal start to the day Reinforce that pupils should enter the form room in an orderly fashion, they should routinely get their equipment out and put it on the desk. They should be silent for the register and respond with Yes Miss/Sir. That each form time should have an element of worship attached, refer to Natalie’s previous training. New staff may need support with this. Form teachers should check uniform and equipment daily and award positive points weekly. Discuss that it is their responsibility to check standards daily and liaise with parents. Pupils will be checked on the gate but they need to reinforce the message as they start the day.

25 Make-up and Mobile phones
Pupils are not allowed to wear make-up in years 7 and 8. Pencilled in eyebrows, tattooed eyebrows, false eyelashes, acrylic nails, gel nails, nail varnish, contouring, bronzer, blusher etc. are NOT acceptable and pupils will required to remove them. Mobile phones/Smart watches and Bluetooth headphones are not permitted in the Academy. 27 If you arrive after 8.40 am but before 9.00am
Punctuality Pupils should be registered in their form room at 8:40 Side gates are locked at 8:35 – Pupils must enter through community entrance to sign in. Form tutors will save register – anyone entering form room after the 8:40 bell will receive a late mark and detention Pupils entering school after 9:00 must enter through community entrance to sign in with a late mark and go straight to lesson 1 Same day after school 30 minute detention If you arrive after 8.40 am but before 9.00am Same day 60 minute detention If you arrive after 9.00am “Together to learn, to grow, to serve”
