More and more people are moving to cities that need to grow upwards to accomodate the incoming persons. 1.4 billion more persons will live in cities in 2030 compared to 2010.
Especially developing countries are experiencing this strong trend but it continues in other countries as well.

13. Makkah Clock Royal Tower Hotel – Makkah, Saudi Arabia

17. Future landmark: Saudi Arabia’s Kingdom Tower, the world’s tallest building
Kingdom Tower, which is being built by Saudi Bin Laden Group, is expected to rise to the height of more than one kilometer upon completion in 2018.
Featuring KONE’s people flow solutions, the building will have the world’s fastest double deck elevators with travel speed of over 10 m/s as well as the world’s highest elevator rise at 660 meters.
