3 Fall Line The Fall Line = natural boundary separates the Piedmont and the Coastal Plain regions; named for decrease in elevation Where the hills meet the coastal plain Historically in Georgia, water was the source of transportation, and food Waterfalls create water power (Hydroelectricity) 4 Major Cities began on fall line: Columbus, Macon, Milledgeville & Augusta
