10 Morning Session Goals Participants will:
• Reflect on the mathematical knowledge needed for teaching number theory concepts Understand number theory concepts so they can flexibly interpret students’ ideas Recognize the underlying principles, meaning and applications of number theory concepts Analyze the ways of reasoning and proof about number theory concepts

11 Afternoon Session Goals Participants will:
• Develop a set of tools and strategies for analyzing curriculum/instruction Identify suggestions and indicators from research related to improving teaching and learning mathematics Reflect on curriculum/instruction in their districts in their role as associates and make plans for next steps back in their schools
