2 expedition ~ a trip that explorers would take in order to explore a new land or find something new

3 obstacle ~ when something gets in your way when you are trying to achieve something; a hardship

4 accomplishment ~ to achieve something

5 route ~ a way to get from one place to another; there are land routes and water routes

6 sponsor ~ when a person or country pays for someone to do something

7 navigation ~ the act, or process of finding the way to get to a place when traveling in a ship, plane, etc.

8 circumnavigate ~ to sail all the way around something (the world)

9 benefactor ~ a person who gives money or other help to a person or cause

10 explorer ~ a person who explores an unfamiliar area; an adventurer

11 voyage ~ a long journey involving travel by sea

12 vessel ~ a ship or large boat

13 inhabitants ~ a person or animal that lives in or occupies a place

14 squire ~ a young nobleman acting as an attendant to a knight before becoming a knight himself

15 conquistador ~ a conqueror

16 rebellion ~ the action or process of resisting authority, control, or convention

17 commissioned ~ given an order for, or authorization for, the production of something

18 territory ~ an area of land under jurisdiction of a ruler or state

19 tyranny ~ cruel and oppressive government or rule

20 enslaved ~ made someone a slave

21 conquer ~ overcome and take control of a place or people

22 proposal ~ a plan or suggestion put forward for consideration or discussion by others
