2 Political organization: Monarchy
Hittites were ruled by a King -Political, Religious, and military leader of the people The Hittites were politically organized as a feudal society

3 Class Systems: Feudal Society
Feudal Society: Land is generally owned by the monarch/royalty and the people who worked the land then paid resources to the monarch/royalty Society was mostly made up of farmers Armies were strong and aloud expansion of several city states to an entire kingdom Artisan classes Slavery

4 Technological: Started Iron Age Advanced iron goods Weapons and armor
Chariots Redesigned for speed More effective Evolved into modern blacksmithing

5 Artistic Innovations and Contributions:
Carvings/Sculptures Rock reliefs Life size rock sculptures Hemite and Hanyeri reliefs Lions of Babylon Ceramics Hüseyindede vases Related to deities

6 Religion: The Hittites religion is mainly based off gaining favor with a local god. Favored the fertility god that controlled the weather. Built shrines for their god. Gods were held in a higher respect than military conquests. The Hittites would pray to the gods about sickness or plague of some sort.

8 Religious Developments:
Joined religions with Hattush. Formed a Pantheon. Placed all local deities under one roof. A centralized religion developed. Adopted many gods. The Hittites took bits and pieces from other religions.

9 Job Specialization: Hittites relied on war to get the resources they needed Architecture was influenced greatly by neighboring countries Weapons, armor, and chariots Common jobs included making tools, building chariots, and iron making

10 Economic Setup: Lived in Anatolia in modern Turkey and in Northern Syria The Hittites established two Empires Agriculture was very important Main crops consisted of wheat and barley, livestock included cattle and sheep
