Parents served as members of the anti-Nazi underground Both died in concentration camps Later discovers his biological father is a Jewish architect. during the Warsaw Pact invasion of Czechoslovakia, 1968, he moves to the united states.

He stated in 2012: "To me [the story] was not just literature but real life, the life I lived in Czechoslovakia from my birth in 1932 until The Communist Party was my Nurse Ratched, telling me what I could and could not do; what I was or was not allowed to say; where I was and was not allowed to go; even who I was and was not. Forman died April 2018

Reportedly, has never seen the movie despite its success. Kesey begins his next book, sometimes a great nation Focused on individuality and conformity believed the key to individual liberation was psychedelic drugs he often wrote under the influence of LSD Kesey and “the merry Pranksters” would be credited with starting the hippie counterculture movement of the 1960’s Died in 2001.
