This week students will be working on chapter 1: Counting to 10.
Reading
In our class we will be using the Daily 5 approach. This approach consists of five stations, read to self, read to someone, listen to reading, work on writing and
word work. During these station I will be working with small groups so that I can better meet all students needs. This week we are learning about read to self and the three ways to read a book.

Writing
This week students will be learning to spell phonetically. If your child is writing at home and comes to a word they don’t know please have them sound it out and underline it.
