maintained at a terrible cost.

can be truly free.

also comes at a high price.

24. Our freedom cost the death of the Only Begotten Son of God

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. 25 For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.

27. True independence from sin come only through surrender.
