2 What does counterweight system mean?
The counterweight system: a type of rigging that uses weights to counterbalance horizontal battens containing scenery, curtains, or lighting instruments.

5 How do you load scenery onto a batten?
First, you attach the scenery to the batten. Then, you load weights in the arbor. (Scenery should be heavier than the weights for the best operation.)

6 Safety Rules for the loading platform:
Warn those onstage that a batten is coming in/going out Example: “Heads, first legs, coming in!” Watch where batten is going at all times while it’s moving Put the rope lock over the pin after task is completed

8 What does the safety of a theatre mean?
The safety of a theater is to ensure nothing gets messed up or damaged.
