1 Rethinking Faith Matthew 15:21-28

2 A pericope (/pəˈrɪkəpiː/; Greek περικοπή, "a cutting-out") in rhetoric is a set of verses that forms one coherent unit or thought, suitable for public reading from a text, now usually of sacred scripture.

3 And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. (Mt 15:21)

4 “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David...”

5 “... my daughter is severely oppressed by a demon.”

6 “Send her away, for she is crying out after us.”

7 “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” (24)
