BJSA is a NGO working in over 90 villages in the Jaunpur zilla in UP
Asha supports a school in Budhnaypur village, Badlapur
Asha also supported a sewing center for girls last year

3. Background… Local community consists of people from backward classes
There was no school around Badlapur until BJSA started one four years back
The school has 57 children from grade I to IV and the strength is expected to go up to 100 this year

4. Support-a-Child (SAC) Program
We find donors to support the educational expenses of each individual child
We require $5/month to support a child in this school

7. School
The education of the children is free and they are provided with books and stationery
The children have a Bal-mela, children functions and exposure trip every year
The teachers attend a week-long training program to learn new teaching methods
Medical fund was created to take care of the expenses
