2 The Robert E. Horton Lecturer in Hydrology
Selected in recognition of scientific eminence for outstanding research on topics of interest to both hydrologists and meteorologists. The purpose of the lectureship is to encourage and foster an interchange of ideas between meteorologists and hydrologists. The lecture may be either a general overview or a summary of recent work conducted in an area of particularly current interest Presented at an AMS Annual Meeting or at an appropriate specialty conference The Bernhard Haurwitz Memorial Lecturer Selected in recognition of significant contributions to the understanding of: atmospheric and oceanic fluid dynamics, the circulation of the middle atmosphere, or the dynamics of climate. Presented at an AMS Annual Meeting or at an appropriate specialty conference

3 The Walter Orr Roberts Lecturer in Interdisciplinary Sciences
Selected in recognition of significant contributions to the understanding of atmospheric processes through the effective interchange of knowledge between: atmospheric science subdisciplines, or between atmospheric scientists and scientists of other disciplines. Selected through open nominations Presented at AMS Annual Meeting or a specialty conference AMS/Sigma Xi Lecturer Selected by the Executive Committee of the AMS Council Open to any aspect of atmospheric or related science Intended to be of broad interest Collaborative activity of AMS (which identifies awardee) and Sigma Xi (which manages the announcements and logistics) Presentations made to local Sigma Xi chapter meetings
