4 THE STRUCTURE OF FOREST
In the structure of the forest in Poland, dominates coniferous forests and the dominant species is the Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris).

5 Recreation in the forest
Forest can be used also as a form of relaxation. Forest is not only active life but also a great place to relax.Nowadays more and more people spend their free time in the woods or just near them.Nature lovers can use special places prepared for that purpose, for example: wooden benches and playgrounds made ​​from natural products.

7 Polish achievements connected with trees
The oldest tree in Poland is yew in Henrykow Luban years. Thickest tree in Poland is Lesznowska poplar- 14 m circumference. The tallest tree in Poland is spruce in the Puszcza Białowieska m.

8 Leafy and mixed forests
To grow they need three times more warm days than conifers. Most of them loose leaves in the fall. During summer many birds and mammals feed on berries and nuts from those trees.
