7 Responsibility for Coursework
Bring all necessary items to class daily. Actively participate in class, ask questions, and always do your best. Know your due dates. LATE WORK IS NOT ACCEPTED. Come in for help before assessments. When you are absent, it is your responsibility to obtain the information and assignments you missed. Check the assignment board or website first for assignments. Then, ask team members or a classmate. Each absence has a one-day grace period. Schedule a time for a quiz or test make ups within the week if necessary.

8 Basic Classroom Policies
Water is the only liquid you are allowed to drink in the classroom. A healthy snack is allowed. Please try and eat your healthy snack within the 1st five minutes of class. Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as class begins at that time. Ask to use the restroom at appropriate times. Give me your OCP and sign out before leaving the classroom. Throw away trash, use the pencil sharpener, sink, and drinking fountain at appropriate times. Drawers and cupboards are not for student use.

9 Grading Grades are based on the accumulation of points.
Points are based on: Homework/Practice (20%) Assessments (80%) Grades will be updated regularly and can be viewed in StudentVue and ParentVue. You are responsible for making sure all absent work is turned in. Work hard from the start of the quarter. There will be NO EXTRA CREDIT offered to improve your grade. Our Grading Scale 90-100% = A 80-89% = B 70-79% = C 60-69% = D Below 60% = F Grades are calculated on cumulative percentage and are rounded up whenever possible.

10 Homework Homework is worth 20% of your grade.
Expectations are that you work on Mathia, at home a minimum of 4 days a week for 30 minutes each day. Mathia log in information is located on my website. Quarter 1: You will be introduced to Mathia and are expected to get Mathia working properly at home or wherever you will be using the on-line program. Quarter’s 2, 3 and 4: You will be assigned modules that will count towards the 20% of your final grade.

11 Assessments/Assessment Corrections:
You are allowed to retake an assessment if you have not mastered the necessary objectives. You will be given a “redo” assessment that will need to be completed within 3 days after the previous assessment was returned to you. You can earn up to half the points back per question that will be applied to your initial assessment grade. Quarter 1: Assessment corrections are mandatory for all students not earning a perfect score. Quarters 2 and 3: Students have the option to choose whether they complete assessment corrections. Quarter 4: Assessment corrections are not provided during the last quarter.

15 Write your name on the sticky
What does it mean to be H.O.T.? Write your name on the sticky and answer the question! Then, put you name plates in your binder and return binders to your period’s cubbies.
