Presentation on theme: "Are we condemned if we do AND condemned if we don’t?"— Presentation transcript:

1 Are we condemned if we do AND condemned if we don’t?
God’s Law We can’t be saved by keeping law because we don’t keep it, and we can’t be saved by not keeping law, because law breakers stand condemned! How can this dilemma be resolved? Some have mistakenly developed a hatred for God’s law or tried to deny that we are under law to God. God resolves this law dilemma by giving us the law of Christ to live by and by providing the blood of Christ to redeem us from every lawless deed. Are we condemned if we do AND condemned if we don’t?

2 Keeping Law Will Not Save
The Law of Moses demonstrated this (Galatians 3:10-11; James 2:10) All are guilty of sin, or lawlessness (Romans 5:12; 1 John 3:4)

3 Law Breakers Will be Lost
They will hear, “Depart from me!” (Matthew 7:23) They will be gathered out of the kingdom (Matthew 13:41) Law-breaking was what condemned the Pharisees! (Matthew 23:28, 2-3)

4 This Law Dilemma has Led to Error
Some have made the mistake of hating God’s law! (Romans 7:12; 1 Timothy 1:8) Some have denied that Christians are under law of any kind! (Galatians 3:24-25; Romans 7:6)

5 God Has Solved the Dilemma of Law!
Live under the Law of Christ! (1 Corinthians 9:20-21; 1 Timothy 1:8-11) Rely on the blood of Christ to redeem you from every lawless deed! (Titus 2:14; Romans 4:7-8; Hebrews 8:12) “I long for Your salvation, O LORD, and Your law is my delight.” (Psalm 119:174)
