5 Practice Conversions:
Ex: Mike has been stranded on an island for 2 years. How many days has he been stranded? (this should require 1 simple conversion 1 year = 365 days)

6 Complex Conversions Involve 2 or more steps/conversion factors.
Ex: Mike has been stranded on the island for 5 years now. Ignoring leap year, how many seconds has he been stranded for? (now you need to bring in multiple conversion factors)

7 Sig Fig Review

Zeros between non-zeros are sig figs Zeros at the end of a number to the right of a decimal are sig figs

9 Zeros at the end of a number to the left of an understood decimal are not sig figs…they are place holders. Zeros to the right of a decimal before non-zero numbers are not sig figs…they are place holders.

10 When adding or subtracting, your answer can have no more sig figs to the right of the decimal than the least accurate measurement. When multiplying or dividing, your answer can have no more sig figs than the least accurate measurement total.

11 WHEN IN DOUBT, your answer should have the same number of sig figs as the original given.
