5 Dissemination, POPGIS & Web development
2018 Activities Redevelopment of the SDD website commenced – based on findings from 2017 User Engagement Survey: Thematic layout based on countries, “sectors” or themes e.g. trade, prices, energy, population etc New search-engine capability Installation of OECD’s “.stat” and SDMX software platforms that will improve access, usability of datasets and interoperability with other websites Development of interactive SDG Dashboard – coming on-line early in 2019 POPGIS3 – a completely new version of the mapping software – has been released and is now available initially for Tonga, POPGIS3 will run on smartphones/tablets - available to a much wider range of users. SPC Pacific Data Hub; the PDH will provide one central location in which to catalogue Pacific datasets and documents; eventually both the new .stat system and the new NADA microdata library will be branded under the Pacific Data Hub Regional Dissemination Strategy 2019 Provisional Workplan (Subject to Funding/Resources) .stat Statistical datasets progressively modelled under SDMX guidelines and added to .stat database Redevelopment of NMDI database – indicators reviewed and dataset migrated to .stat Roll-out of PopGIS3 – 11 countries TA provided to support NSOs with their websites Integration of .stat and NADA Microdata Library with Pacific Data Hub Upload of datasets to PDH (which are not able o be stored in .stat and NADA) Ad-hoc map/media production for twitter/website
