CONDEMNATION OF WORLDLINESS teaches that:
Friendship with the World Destroys Our Fellowship with God 4 You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world is hatred toward God? (James 4:4)

5 For your Maker is your husband—the Lord Almighty is his name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. (Isa 54:5)

4 …Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. (James 4:4)

5 Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely? (James 4:5)
