1. Communion and Worship Commands have their place.
Exodus 20: verses 2 & 3. “I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other gods before Me”
John 4: 24 “God is spirit and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth.
Communion, the Lord’s Supper, The Eucharist, the Breaking of Bread.
Within the Scripture coverage of that important event there are some clear commands.
Matthew chapter 26.
“Take, eat, this is My body “ “Drink from it all of you.”
Mark chapter 14.
“Take it, this is My body.” Then He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it.

2. 115. “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your Name be the glory.”
Luke chapter 24 records a little differently but the commands are still there.
After taking the cup He gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you.” And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them saying, “This is My body given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” Of the cup (the second time) He said, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.”
Matthew and Mark both record that afterwards they sang a hymn, probably one of the Hallel psalms from 115 to 118.
Notice how they begin.
115. “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your Name be the glory.”
116. “I love the Lord for He heard my voice, He heard my cry for mercy.”
117. Praise the Lord all you nations, extol Him all you peoples. For great is His love toward us.”
118. “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures for ever.”
