2 Figure 1 A successful ET. (A) The soft, echogenic catheter is advanced through the internal os into the uterus. (B) The tip of the catheter is withdrawn slightly to ensure proper positioning from the fundus. (C) The plunger on the syringe is depressed and the contents of the catheter expelled into the proper location within the uterus while carefully withdrawing the catheter slightly. (D) The catheter is slowly withdrawn, maintaining pressure on the depressed syringe plunger to avoid disrupting placement of the embryos/catheter contents.
