2 Masai background The Masai men are known for herding indigenous cows, goats, and sheep. The Masai women occupy a submissive role in the masai culture This effects the way children are allowed to go to school because boys are given the first priority of purchase of books and uniforms.

4 Facts Girls have a disadvantage to go to school due to a number of chores they have to do at home before beginning the trek to school. Many children are sent home from school due to lack of books and uniforms. Many Masai children are not going to school until age 10 or 11 if at all.

There are many little children going to this school like 3 to 6 year olds. These children are soon going to have a school to go to. During the day they are going to have stuff to do.
